I’ve started sending the (incomplete) screenplay around for review. Today I’ve sent it to:
Sierra Little- fellow filmmaker who’s making a web series for her sophomore project
Sarah Leonard- another filmmaker I met at the Currents film student gathering. Like VFX and production
Moniaradiah Green- up and coming director whom I also met at Currents.
I also want to add Unity Drain to the list. She’s a filmmaker I met at SOCAPA (a summer film program) and she lives in Portland. I’m going to send her a copy tomorrow.

I’m treating this like a whole ‘nother day, but it’s really 12:21. Not much time has passed since my last journal date.
While I was taking my shower, (yes at about 12:00), a new twist on the film came to me. Monty and Maddox are partners and brothers in science. They are torn apart when Maddox gets the College University opportunity and chaos ensues. That’s the gist of it.
I think that it’s a shortened, more character driven version of the original film. I’m trying to create an outline to see if it holds water. I’m not up for completely changing the direction of the project because that would mean an unstable production, however, I feel like this would be a more economical solution to my doubts and problems with the story and make it easier to tell. I think the original idea was getting too complicated and trying to incorporate too much. Things like the Maddox and Monty conflict, Monty’s clubs, and the Maddox and Romaine B- Story working on a side project added a lot of unnecessary complications. I hope this will provide a decent fix and really get this show on the road. I’m going to try to come up wit ha a script over the next couple of days with this idea. Hopefully it won’t take too long because I will just be editing the original.
